Stampers in America and the U.K. have been blogging like crazy about the 2012 Catalogue release. There are Launch Parties happening all over the globe - though none in the vicinity of Melbourne from what I can tell.
In the absence of a party, I've compiled a cast of cool new characters from the catalogue that tickle my fancy, courtesy of the Simon Says Stamp website:
I love these newspaper print images:
And block prints are a great way to get maximum ink on paper:
There is always room for Greeting stamps in my life:
In other news, it is a cool Sunday morning and the birds are going nuts after a full night of thunderstorms and hail (and they say this is Summer?). Last night while listening to the almighty downpour just outside my window, and with my fraidy-cat of a dog cowering under the desk (not a fan of the thunderstorms), I began working on a secret-squirrel Christmas present. I'm so excited about this project! It's a real mix of techniques and materials brought together from all sorts of inspiration and ideas. However I cannot reveal the photos just yet, as I know for a fact that the recipient will be reading this post (Hi Bell!).
I've also been spending way too much time on Twitter - however, there are so many links to creative goodness, that it's almost irresistible. How else would I have found out about the Hero Arts 2012 Catalogue Launch? Or the new Stampington blog?
So pretty, I could scream. Now, if I could just make my desk look like that one... I could start with the cup of tea I suppose.
Enjoy your weekend, wherever in the world you are.
