And they were out. However, another store has one put aside for me.
And although I have signed up for three online art courses spanning most of March, and I have two bestie's birthdays and a stack of French Film Festival dates to attend, I just cannot say no to a creative challenge. Providing it's something that tips my excitement scale - and this one from CurlyPops does.
It's a dress 'sew-along' - see the cutie-pie dress marked 'A' up there? That is what I am attempting to construct. As I warned Ms. Pops, I have completely and utterly forgotten how to sew. Can't be all that hard though. Right? Like riding a bike?
Well, if I was initially scared and didn't want to take on more than I could handle (it's a thing I do), now I'm just in it for the experience. Sure I have (completely and utterly) forgotten how to sew, but in light of my new imperfectionist ways (is that a word?) I will be happy just to end up with a gorgeous looking potato sack that can be recycled into something else. Better to try than just dream about trying, no?
And I do like that skirt pattern...
Off to do my favourite thing on a Sunday night - watch New Girl.
